Specifications and Options

Duratrim is currently available in two (2) models as follows:

DURATRIM 3.0
Strip width range: 38mm – 320mm
Wall thickness range: 0.9mm – 3.0mm*

DURATRIM 5.0**
Strip width range: 100mm – 410mm
Wall thickness range: 1.2mm – 5.0mm*

*Dependent on material specification
**Duratrim 5.0 will not be commercially available for sale until end of 2011.

The Duratrim is capable of running up to 100 M/min without cooling of the cutting heads, speeds above this may require emulsion cooling.

Duratrim is simple to install and set, requires only compressed air to operate and is a low cost investment. It offers considerable benefits over other more expensive edge preparation systems and will ensure that you get a rapid payback on your investment. It can be mounted onto the mill forming bed or ‘freestanding’ between accumulator and forming station. It is easily able to withstand cross welds (coil join sections) and will even cope with damaged strip at the beginning or end of a coil.

Optional extras:

• Steel framed stand for scarfing system with swarf catch tray and drawer guides.
• Brush and blower assembly to remove swarf and chips from strip surface.
• Stainless steel rollers for non-ferrous materials.
