Return Flow Impedors

Return Flow impedors are used in applications where the inside of the welded tube needs to be kept dry. This can be for quality issues, health & safety and even special applications like inside bore painting.

EHE's M4 series impedors incorporate heavy duty brass internals with a special design that anchors the impedor coupling to the end stop of the impedor. All seals are silicone rubber 'o' rings rather than adhesives(which can dry out and crack). The M4 design also eliminates the need to use any fasteners through the impedor casings which can be a source of leaks. In addition this feature means that impedor is not  'disposable', the ferrite and/or casing can be easily replaced by simply loosening three(3) set screws.

The M4 impedors utilise a simple inexpensive coupling which are available from Superior Technologies Europe. These can be supplied with or without 'hanger blades' as required.

For the best performance from return flow impedors we recommend using a filter of 100 Micron or smaller to avoid metallic particles from mill coolant causing obstructions inside the impedor coolant path. All standard M4 series return flow impedors utilise high temperature Silglass™ casing material , some sizes are also available with ceramic or fluorglass cases for very special applications. Standard impedor length is 230mm but we also offer return flow impedors with lengths of 330mm & 430mm.
