Induction Welding Coils
Good weld coil design is essential to ensure that optimum performance is gained from your HF welder. It will also have significant impact on power consumption which can run into Thousands of €uros wasted every year on excessive output KW usage. Superior Technologies Europe offers induction weld coils for both Thermionic and Solid State High Frequency generators. Coils are available for welded tube diameters from 10mm to 610mm. If a particular coil is not shown please contact us, we do offer 'bespoke' or special coils also.
On site tests have shown that it is not unusual for our coil to last 2 x longer than other induction coils.
General Tubular & Banded Coils
We offer a wide dimensional range of conventional tublar and banded induction coils with standard 'leg' copper tubing connections. All our coils are manufactured from high conductivity oxygen free copper and all contact surfaces are 'tinned' to prevent oxidisation and resistance which will result in power wastage and overheating of connections. Our tubular coils are insulated with high temperature PTFE tubing and our banded coils have silglass™ or PTFE liners for increased life.

Our solid state welder coils, designed to work with Thermatool solid state HF welders are available in tubular design (SSTA type) for pipe diameters from 10 -38mm, 2-turn banded design(SSTB type) for diameters from 25mm - 90mm and single turn banded design (SSTC type) for diameters 90mm and above. All of the banded coils are not mill direction dependant so you do not have to purchase coils for each tube mill!

Large Diameter Split Coils
For high power HF welders with 'flange mount' coils we offer EHE's unique four(4) piece split induction coils. The coil consists of four separate components as follows:
- Upper Bus arm (internally cooled)
- Lower Bus arm (internally cooled)
- Upper Coil section 135º - Can be internally cooled or spray cooled
- Lower Coil section 225º - Can be internally cooled or spray cooled
The main advantage of the coil is the ability to replace on the damaged part of the coil which is almost always the top coil section due to its close proximity to the welding point. These coils are manufactured from 3mm copper plate and have clamps to prevent the magnetising forces present forcing the bus arms apart whilst under power. This reduces the potential for losses and stops the assembly losing its shape.
