Impedor Casing Materials

We offer three different impedor casing materials all of which have different advantages depending on the application in question.

Ferroglass™ is EHE’s proprietary brand of ferrite powder filled epoxy/glass impedor casing. The additional ferrite present in the casing can boost welding speeds by as much as 40% in the case of small diameter impedors. We recommend ferroglass™ for impedor diameters 25mm and below, above this diameter the mass of ferrite in the impedor increases to a level that makes the casing much less significant.

Silglass™ is also an EHE proprietary brand that is a silicone resin bonded glass that offers much higher heat resistance than standard epoxy. This makes Silglass™ an ideal choice for return flow impedors.

Epoxy Glass offers very good mechanical strength combined with a low cost, it is the natural choice for standard through flow impedors above 25mm diameter.
